I LOVE YOU,FOREVER

When I think of the fresh or puppy love we have for that special someone. How we are always giving them gifts of affection. Oh how we strive to share all that we consider good or valuable. Then a thought came to mind, what have I given our Father lately.

Like a child, I take advantage of His love towards me.

  • I realize that every time I talk to Him, I’m asking for something I want.
  • I even try to make Him feel guilty by reminding Him that He said that He would give me the desires of MY heart.
  • And when He failed to act as fast as I wished He would, I cry and pout and refuse to spend quality time with him
  • I have even thrown a tantrum or two at Him.
  • I’ve even called a few friends and held a Pity Party.

These are selfish antics. This is not love at all.

So I took a quick inventory of my relationship with God.

  • I asked myself, how often is it that I go to Him baring gifts as apposed to asking for gifts?
  • How often do I visit Him just to sit with Him and share my time?
  • How often do I reflect on what He has done as appose to what I want Him to do.
  • How often have I sent him a “Thank You” card?
  • When was the last time I sent Him an “I Love You” card?

It doesn’t sound as if  I Love Him! Worse yet, it appears as though I’m attempting to use Him as a “Sugar Daddy”!

Oh Lord, I wake at 2am to say, “I Love You Forever”!

Thank You for creating me.

How do You feel today?

Is there anything I can do for you?

I wanted to bring You a gift worthy of the Love, Grace, Mercy and Deliverance you have given me but I haven’t found it yet. Until I do, know that I Love you, with all my heart!

  3. This is the point when we realize that nothing else matters in life …but our Father in Heaven.

Fall head over heels “In Love” with Him, His Son, His Holy Spirit, then remain the “lovesick” pup condition for eternity.
