Conversation: Can we avoid the pain of false love?

  1. Why can’t men and women be true friends before they think they are in love?
  2. Why don’t we help our young ones to define love and form a love relationship with one of their friends that define it the same?
  3. Matter of fact, why do we wait until our little ones become not so little and figure those as inexperience as they are the best to explain such issues?
  4. Then what’s sex got to do with friendship?
  5. If just for the pleasure of the experience, why do we call it love?

(Please note by # to which question you respond and I will add it to this blog.)

RESPONSES:

3.Matter of fact, why do we wait until our little ones become not so little and figure those as inexperience as they are the best to explain such issues?

We started educating about the spiritual, sexual, and emotional roles within relationships at a very young age. There were no surprises sprung in health ed classes! And my two are probably among the most modest of their friends. I would encourage all parents to make this language an everyday part of life.
