A Feeling?
Oh, how my contentment is challenged by this vain quest to find that elusive prey.
I have sacrificed so much of that I call dear; to obtain it?
If ever I have,
My possession is as a retreating dream in the light of unconscious sight.
Oh how I am teased by its realization.
This revelation leaves so often a void in it’s passing-
Fore I could not contain it or harness it nor even persuade it to stay a while.
What a waste,
To think of the time I have squander in this quest;
To provide it refuge.
Then what indeed am I looking for?
Emotion, Imp, angel of twilight-
I want it, dare need it but what does it illuminate?
Indeed, whom does it glorify?
I treat it as a friend,
Too often a love.
In return I feel abandoned fore when I awake she has gone;
He has gone;
It has-
Where indeed did I find her last?
I have learned that once past, it may not be found again.
The road down which I run in haste;
Seem to have lost its markers.
To find that I seek on a street called Frustration,
Realization;
I end where I’ve started.
Then what indeed am I looking for?
Emotion, Imp or angel of twilight-
I want it, dare need it but what does it illuminate?
Indeed, whom does it glorify?
I dare not claim it but I will dare to name it…
